Our goal at Children's Mercy Hospital is to provide early diagnosis, education of families, and intervention to help the children meet their highest potential. Our comprehensive evaluation is to ensure an accurate diagnosis and to provide each family with complete treatment recommendations. Parents' questions are answered and information is given on all treatment options along with identifying community resources for intervention and support. Children's Mercy is also coordinating and/or providing training for pre-professional students and community professionals to increase autism resources in the state of Missouri.

Children's Mercy Hospital, Division of Developmental and Behavioral Sciences serves primarily as a diagnostic center. We focus on getting a child the proper diagnosis and then linking them to proper resources/therapies in the community.
