The Division of Adolescent Medicine at Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics cares for the unique needs of young people as they make the transition from children to adults.

Our comprehensive program assesses and treats a wide range of physical and emotional issues, from well visits to acute problems and chronic conditions. We also provide preventive services to help address high-risk behaviors.

Our team of experts in adolescent development includes six adolescent physicians (four of whom are double-board certified in pediatrics and adolescent medicine), six nurse practitioners, and a full-time social worker who provides case management, crisis intervention and connects families to community resources.
