The Emergency Department (ED) at Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics treats patients with a wide variety of urgent and non-urgent needs, from major trauma to the common cold.

We are the only Level I Pediatric Trauma Center in the Kansas City metropolitan area.

The ED includes:

• Four Trauma Rooms
• Six Major Medical Rooms
• 19 Yellow Rooms for care of urgent or emergent patients
• 10 Green Zone Rooms for minor patients

Our patients range in age from neonates to 18+ years.

We provide services 24-hours a day/7-days a week.

We work with the Emergency Department physicians and APRNs, plus any of our medical or surgical teams that are consulted to care for our patients.
